biodiversity. OPEN BOOK EXAM. it wasn't exactly a new thing to me. i had a similiar experience back in secondary sch. it was a geog test. everyone flunked coz there was no time to check for the answers and copy them down word for word. the trick to OPEN BOOK EXAM is the answers can never be found in references directly. as i had expected. "study like never study". luckily i remembered to put on my thinking cap. glad i'm quite smart. otherwise i would have handed in a blank answer script. 2 up, 3 more to go!

just finished my english paper. it was kinda a breeze. horribly wonderful chem prac. I got 1 A+, 1 C+ and 1 A-. The one i got C+ - i didn't get the compound right coz it got contaminated and i kinda copied that from someone else. realised my own works are more trustworthy. A+ & A-. i will treasure and do my own work from now. NEVER COPY WHOLESALE. if want to copy also must copy smart.

someone said i'm a paedophile.. but i don't mind.. when you think of true love it has no limitations..
they say she's an extrovert - to me she's both an extrovert and introvert.
i said she's got alot of good points - they say love is blind
i can see all her good and bad points.. they have nothing more to say
it's not about compromising..
how did she exactly gave me the right feeling.. as in fit into my criteria
when my expectations are so high.. god knows..
"Jillian.. i said i came close to finding it" but i didn't complete the sentence.."now i've found it in you.."
my heart was mended from a million smithereens.. someone gave my heart hope to be able to love unconditionally again..
you are a kind hearted, understanding and appreciative gal.. it's undeniable though it's not written all over your face.. it can be felt with the heart and truly seen with the eyes..

seriously u wait till she's sec4 i promise u total transformation n might haf some characteristics of a bitch coz most mgs girls are lidat

i'll bet her to prove u wrong.. only her... she's one of a kind.. my judgement of any gal i'm interested in hasn't failed me yet

like whether u are a fiercely loyal person
faithful partner
or someone who's easily ruled by jealousy
are appreciative of things that cannot be bought with money
appreciative of thoughts
will u treasure things that are dear to you for life

whether you are romantic yet practical down to earth not bitchy not any percent bitchy whether u are caring and care about pple n things generally

meticulous perfectionist organised dun like being affected by other gan jiong pple loyal friend if i decide to be serious i'll put my best in it

true love does not mean possession or jealousy. it's generosity.
i keep reminding myself of this sentence to keep myself from overindulgence of doses of happiness can u believe it

i've got such a vulnerable heart
it keeps me guessing what is love and if it's already around sometimes u cannot see but u can only feel

when there's true love there can never be hatred
haha~ but it's only a thin line b/w love and hatred, b/w happiness and disappointment

yesterday was kinda e last session coz her exams gonna be over
on my way home i juz msged her soemthing like
i love her company n she made me happy
then i added in a teaser "too bad u dun like me and "i will miss you"
wad do u understand?
i kept her guessing n she kept me guessing
i'll find out soon.. if love's in the air
if absence makes the heart grow fonder
haha~ it'll make yr heart sick... den if she doesn't haf any response den u die liao.
i have this feeling i'm accidentally in love
i can't possibly ask her right in the face if she feels this way rite
though it's being frank n straightforward it'll scare pple and usu you'll get a negative answer
i'll like tell her secretly sneak a note or something lah if she really like me or love my company keep it to herself dun tell me i dun want to know now
when u really think it's love then it's worth it to tell me..
sneaky not a nice word to use but that's love it's always round the corner rite you can't see it though it's close by until u turn ur direction
ya... a bit hard... haha~ scarly u get forgotten how?
if i can get forgotten easily then i'm in trouble
so i should write a note
haha~ young gals do forget things easily if they dun see them often... haha~ or forget the feeling
saying "i wonder if you miss me"
haha~ telling her don't forget me?
tell her no use one coz tell like never tell
she can forget her formula
sure got chance to forget me
this one different... it's more real life... u dun forget a real life thing easily
unless she really treasure
that's what i'm lookin for
she's quite cool n cynical on the outside
but she's sensitive n romantic inside
she's quite self protective like me sometimes
but i can give alot in a relationship
such tt i can't protect myself from being hurt
one thing unqiue abt her is her laughter
it's the best medicine for my soulbreathes life into my soul
rejuvenates my spirit
ppl thinks she's carzy but i think she's merry
she's not overly crazy she's so enthusiastic n got such innate ability to heal herself by laughing
haha~ suitably lively and bubbly that's what i feel i truly lack in life
few pple can give me that she already stepped in and on my heart left such a deep impression
one and only kind of bubbly that doesn't piss me
haha~ u muz be careful man!!! gotta protect urself b4 u fall into it!!! muz wear life savers
haha.. how to? this time it's different
i found a treasure that's so abstract
so hard to describe the joy
i won't know if it's mine
but by discovering it i already made a name for myself
haha~ ya... plant your flag there and declare it yours!!!
haha.. she's a human not a non living thing
set her free and if she chooses u she'll be urs
haha~ ya... den she'll be truly yours!

whenever i think of you.. i realised i often think of you. and think too much of you. why can't you just disappear from my life? i'm so easily distracted. maybe attracted is a better word. i figured why. it's probably the way you take things so easily. the carefree nature of your soul captured my heart. now there's an internal struggle within me. it's difficult to let go. when i need to free you from my mind.

*mind blowing*

gave Patrick tuition. then Gen tuition. coached Lynda squash. met LJ for basketball. my Sunday's quite routined.

watched France vs England at Esther's house. France won 2-1. Zidane scored 2 goals in the last 2 minutes. freaky. England fans were gutted. utterly shocked. yeah. shock is the word. it's so cruel. hope they learn their lesson and bounce back.

*resurrecting blog*

Larry called. he's got fever. I've got flu. so no tuition. seem like some kinda bug is passing around. be careful people. today is the 3rd day of personal quarantine. felt like going out. so met LJ and BL for supper.

*updating in progress*

gave Gen tuition. Larry went out to watch Harry Potter. so no tuition for him. my throat's much better today. had been having fish porridge since yesterday. stayed home to recuperate. time passes so slowly.

*words of wisdom*

that untimely blow yesterday. suffering today. woke up with a bad throat. sore and painful. the mirror didn't reflect anything on the outside. internal injury. that must be. couldn't talk the whole day.

couldn't even say "hu" when playing MJ. when the 3 MJ kings came. i lost money in pain. (they coincidentally rhyme). my throat and heart both pained. my money is hard earned. the amount lost might seem little to others - but it's too huge a loss to me. 4 days of lunch and dinner. that's how much i simply lost. the saying: "no loss, no gain" might be true. but it surely doesn't apply on gambling when another saying goes: "ten bets, nine losses". how naive am i. always hope i don't win or lose money. 'cause i merely wanted to provide some entertainment for friends at no cost. but they wanted to gamble money and dragged me into it. i succumbed to peer pressure.

the excuses they churned for me were all sorts. - you ORD already, got so much time, where got no time to play mahjong? - don't complain, i lost even more money to others before, compared to you now. - once a while play no harm right, anyway the stakes are so small how much can you lose? - if you lose, it's equivalent to spending on two movies, just treat it as entertainment fee for your friends. i was tempted several times. each time i delayed my decision.

didn't exactly buy their reasons. knew they were wrong. but i didn't have the heart to turn down entertaining my friends. i gave in. they could afford to lose small. they had lost bigger before. i had everything to lose. 'cause i couldn't afford to lose. i am poor. MJ is a rich man's game. but it can also make a rich man poor overnight. till now did i realise i had sunk a little too deep into sh*t. i finally lost. but "no pain, no gain". i recovered my conscience. rediscovered the truth. at a small expense. i shall never gamble again.

*mind blowing*

gave Patrick tuition. coached Lynda squash. met LJ for basketball.

basketball. one of the worst sessions. the ball slammed straight into my face. 3 times. my specs flew out. 3 times. the 1st time my most presentable pair of metallic specs got so twisted. the twist - it's deemed irreversible. after that fatal 1st hit i had no choice but to substitute my metallic specs with my ACG - plastic specs. the plastic one suffered 2 severe blows but it never got outta shape.

highlight of the day. one shorty (shorter than me by nearly a head) tried to dribble past me. clumsily jumped and elbowed my throat while attempting the basket. this time LJ had to substitute me. yes. ME. nearly hammered my apple. will never play basketball with those ruffians again. my life is precious.

had dinner with LJ. supposed to drag Eddie for steamboat buffet at Turf City. but he adamantly refused to tag along. ended up eating Penang Kway Tiao and Prawn Mee at Killiney Kopitiam. lime juice was refreshing. his darling BL knocked off and met us for dessert (though we already finished it before she arrived).

reached home around 11.30pm. it was still my brother's birthday. not past midnight yet. had the last slice of chocolate cake. *yum* happy birthday.

Saturday, June 05, 2004

*wishful thinking*

gave Larry tuition. went to the World Book Fair. was in a hurry to meet dad. so didn't linger long enough at sun tec. didn't catch Lixiang. couldn't have anyway. it's really people mountain people sea (in chinese)

Friday, June 04, 2004

*blogging in progress*

gave Gen tuition. went shopping at CCK Lot1. bought some assessments for Larry. $80 on 2 branded shirts. $20 on 3 colourful Giordano tees. $100 bucks gone simply. tough luck. i'm crazy. something horrible happened. misplaced the books i bought for Larry. absent-mindedly left it unattended. $10 gone.

how absent-minded can i be? eg.: happily paid for 2 packets of chicken rice and went home. upon reaching home then i realised i didn't bring back the 2 packets.

that's quite bad rite? i know. will need to curb such frequent recurrence.

*scribblings loaded*

squashed in the evening. JCC's a nice place. quiet. serene. best place to cultivate the mind. felt different in the courts. met uncle Chris. had a game with him. can't believe i actually won. i'm finally convinced of my potential. shall strive hard to make sure i don't disappoint myself. I will be an A grader someday.

love showering at JCC. everything's provided. from towel to bathing accessories. even gel and comb. luxury. and warm water. i hate showering in the cold. probably that explains why i seldom swim. had supper with Shaun. he missed his favourite steak 'cause the stall had closed. ended up eating mixed vegs and rice. the servings were so huge and generous. totally appeased our hunger.

called Kim outta the blue. kinda remembered she should be back from France. to my surprise she really picked up the phone. it was already midnight. chatted for like ages. the student exchange wasn't exactly enriching. but at least she didn't suffer that much compared to YJ when she was in India last month. lol.

*resurrecting blog*

holiday. like it isn't one. family day is more apt. went out on a pilgrimage. vesak day. still tryin' to figure out where exactly is my faith. good friday. i need enlightenment.

NP shifted to NUS. yeah! squash and study all the way. needn't look further for a place to coach squash anymore. anyone interested in learning squash? find me!

gave Larry tuition. his mum agreed to baby-sit my sis after we shift. but only 6 months. well. guess we gotta take things one stride at a time.

*updating in progress*

met RY and his upline KT. she's quite dynamic. fits into my impression of a successful businesswoman. amazed by the way she explained things. but still i feel Lampe Berger isn't the one. though some kinda inspiration struck. i'd seen a clearer picture of how to succeed in MLM biz. action speaks louder than words.

met LJ for dinner at West Mall. not elsewhere. 'cause BL's working part-time at West Mall. BK was too just too tempting for him. trust him to suggest eating such "heaty" food when he's still sick. bummed around. broke a personal record. bought my 5th pair of shoes in a month. now i have no reason to buy shoes for a year. stepped into Harvey Norman. wanted to scout for an LCD screen which have both TV and PC connectivity. the salesman was so brilliant. introduced me to the best LCD screen. $1699. and so generously shared ALL his technical knowledge. other customers might have been bored to death. but i happened to be so interested. it's so cool. someday in the near future that LCD will be mine.

bro went touring Microsoft. got a door gift - an optical mouse. best. FOC. he's going to HP someday next week. wonder what cool gadget he'll be given. lucky guy.

Friday, February 27, 2004

I've finally gotten over IT. It seemed impossible.. I deemed it near impossible.. but I still believe miracles do happen.. Intuition just overwhelmed me and I suddenly knew what to do.. It's unbelievable.. I feel like a bird that's been set free from a cage..

Wednesday, February 25, 2004

"My heart bleeds for you.." oh Genevieve U are so dense and crappy.. But that phrase is perhaps so true.. Just like "There's no way to happiness. Happiness is the way." I ought to realise happiness isn't a thing.

15 Things You Probably Never Knew or Thought About

1. At least 5 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. If not for you, someone may not be living.
8. You are special and unique.
9. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.
12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it.
13. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.
14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.
15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

A Minute

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

Send this phrase to the people you'll never forget and remember to send it also to the person that sent it to you. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them. If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry and that you've forgot your friends.

Take the time... to live and love.

Monday, February 23, 2004

"In the course of living, many people are disappointed when others do not live up (or down) to their expectations. In order to be happy, some expectations must be dropped. These unrealistic and unhealthy expectations are three of the main culprits."

1. Do not EXPECT appreciation. When others say, "Thank you," or in any way show their gratitude, be happy. It is a gift!

2. Do not EXPECT others to make you happy. They simply cannot do that. Make yourself happy and share your joy with others.

3. Do not expect NOT to be let down. At times, people will simply not come through for you in the way you need. Forgive them and move on. Get rid of these three expectations and you will be getting rid of daily disappointment!

I wonder who thought of this. So smart. Why can't people live a life of virtually no expectation? Why do people have expectation? Why do "bo-chup" people still exist in this world? To give and not expect is like repaying something which you owe.. sounds as if i owe the whole world something..

Saturday, February 21, 2004

I was blinded. Treated everyone else out in the streets like transparent glass. There I was, but elsewhere my heart was. Can't imagine I went bumming around the whole world hoping just to catch a glimpse of......

Mycroft: "love is so blind.."
Darrell: "yeah.. luv sometimes make ppl do things that cannot be explained.."
Mycroft: "yar.."
Darrell: "some ppl say only luv has no reason.."
Mycroft: "whatever.."

I realised it was the first time I fell so badly at the first hurdle..

Thursday, February 19, 2004

It doesn't seem easy to free one's mind from worries.. tried not to think too much.. somehow the discomfort's always lingering.. when i'm happy nothing bothers me too much.. but short-lived happiness gives me the feeling of emptiness coz i'll always have things to worry about..

Live simply - I don't want a complicated life. But how simple can things get? I admire William Hung. He went through the ordeal so simply while people fall off from their chairs. It's not sympathy but admiration. Few people are so innocent nowadays. Innocence is Simplicity.

Give more & Expect less.
This is so profound. Expectation is usually proportional to one's expense of effort and time. The more you give the more you'll expect in return. But if what you reaped didn't become what you sowed, you'll be either merely disappointed or utterly devastated. There's this saying that goes: Hope for the best. But prepare for the worst. "Hope" was the last thing let out of Pandora's Box and needless to say it always comes at the last minute. I better whack this into my brain and remember it by heart coz i often hope too much. It's not very reliable.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I've been restraining and suppressing myself emotionally. It hurts badly but I must tell myself not to expect so much.

Tuesday, February 17, 2004

Five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred
2. Free your mind from worries
3. Live simply
4. Give more
5. Expect less

Sunday, February 15, 2004

People telling me age difference isn't supposed to be a barrier in a relationship. Difference in maturity of thinking is probably a more tricky and obvious barrier. I'm trying to explore that..

Being faithful is noble and righteous. But why is it also foolishness?

To me, love has always entailed an enormous amount of responsibilty.
My ideals of love are as high as the clear blue sky.
Ever hear of Calvin Klein cologne "Eternity"?
Don't understand why some people can't love deeply, passionately, lastingly & loyally.

Are you incapable of making lasting commitments?
If you are, I'll be disappointed.

Saturday, February 14, 2004

Today is Valentine's Day.
Wonder if this is the beginning of a nightmare or sweet dream.
Can't help falling in love. It's a sweet-bitter thing.
Why must the sweet part always have to come before the bitter?
I never knew the answer.
It's hard to give it all. It's even harder to not give at all.

I only know
When my heart has moved, there's no turning back.

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE:

"Today I begin to understand what love must be, if it exists... When we are parted, we each feel the lack of the other half of ourselves. We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which the first has been lost. That is what I imagine love to be: incompleteness in absence."

"I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret."

Whether you're the go-between or the monkey in the middle, you'll do a lot of running around under the stars. It's too much to expect loyalty in a gray area. Forgotten social skills come back into play easily.

Tuesday, October 14, 2003

Greetings Mycroft --

Gambling holds a delicious appeal. It's easier to wait for fate to show its hand than it is to make your own luck. If you can't make yourself proud, at least don't do anything that will shame you.

Keep moving even as you feel yourself slowing down. Too many people use the approaching weekend as an excuse to slack off. Sometimes you do your best work when you push just a little bit harder.

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE:

Life moves on, whether we act as cowards or heroes. Life has no other discipline to impose, if we would be realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly. Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise, serves to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such.

yoZ.. brought my sister along to Cashew Heights where i met Yanjun for table tennis.. we were supposed to play squash at New Pioneers in the afternoon but she felt quite tired & wasn't in the mood to over-exert.. Jason also didn't feel like going so i ended up asking Yanjun to play table tennis.. brought my sister along to humour her.. my sister is cute isn't she? if only i can stop her from becoming a potentially irritating chatterbox.. when i'm out with her i usually have no chance to talk coz she'll do all the talking.. incessant noise.. i can't help wondering how come she's got so much energy.. well i guess kids are really kids man.. they ask so many questions.. after being so hyperactive she's already sound asleep while i'm still blogging.. hehe.. okie gtg sleep soon.. tataZ~

yoZ.. a relatively busy week just passed.. met tian cai on thursday evening at Adam Road Food Centre (the place near Serene Centre) for dinner.. we had nasi lemak & ice-jelly for dinner.. so appetizing! then watched the Newcastle vs Birmingham match at his house.. i managed to burn a cd containing 8 of my favourite saxophone pieces using his burner! and his computer is soooooo fast! more than 10 times faster than mine i think.. *sigh* mine's already so outdated.. dunno when i'm going to buy a new one..

woke up quite early this morning.. played table tennis with yanjun.. quite fun.. she actually knew how to play quite well.. went to queensway after that for lunch & shopped after that.. she finally bought a new pair of Adidas court shoes.. i spotted new Dunlop squash rackets for sale! they looked so cool i'm gonna get one soon.. went to train squash alone.. mastered a new skill today! my backhand volley smash's getting more powerful & accurate.. hee~

met 2 of my pri school friends for late dinner at 9pm at a hawker centre near my place.. haven't seen them for so long! tmr we've agreed to watch AC Milan vs Celtic at one of the guy's place in the morning before going swimming.. okie gtg zZz.. niteZ

tian cai -- hopefully we can go to tioman's place tmr night.. must find the extra guy to play bridge

yoZ.. i don't remember having a Sunday that's as memorable & happening as today.. turned down qubee's invitation for field soccer at chinese high in the morning coz it rained quite heavily the night before.. didn't wish to get myself muddy early morning.. coincidentally tioman organised basketball at our alma mater at 11 in the morning.. tian cai & his clan would be going too so i happily set off to meet them.. i was the first to reach school shortly followed by tian cai & his bro then eddie.. tioman made everyone wait for him till 12.30! by that time we had already thought of how to "tekan" him.. Yes! Lunch on him! organiser yet the last to turn up.. we wrapped up the last game around 2 o'clock.. only 3 of us proceeded to bukit timah market for lunch.. tioman, tian cai & me coz the rest didn't want to come.. 3 of us were so famished.. i really missed the good food there.. and that was a free lunch.. more to come later! we left tioman who was waiting for his mum to fetch him home & we went to cashew heights..

*sidetrack abit* saw Weijia alight from 157 at shells after lunch.. was so surprised to see her but we couldn't talk for long coz the 171 i wanted to take was right behind..

met Yanjun & Jason for basketball again.. tian cai's brother also made his own way there after he went home for lunch.. hee~ got to know a new basketball friend Keith (who also lives at cashew heights) & his gf Gywen.. they are really nice pple.. Jason's brother, Jonathan, celebrated his 18th birthday today in advance (actual birthday's on 22nd).. he had invited his friends & us to a bbq party at the poolside.. yup free bbq dinner after basketball!! =)

there were 2 distinct groups.. one small group of young adults (Jason, Yanjun, Keith, Gywen, Lingjun & his brother & me) and the other (Jonathan's big group of teenage friends).. our group played cards for a while and then chatted for very long.. different frequency from Jon's friends who were bustling with adrenaline i guess.. i feel i'm already getting old.. heh.. but all in all it was a memorable gathering which ended sooner than expected coz the next day would be a working day..

weijia -- long time no see! hope u are doing fine gal, sorry couldn't chat longer with u maybe we can meet up next time? take care~

yoZ.. what a fine afternoon i had today.. went down with yanjun to SMU.. there were alot of new faces.. all the courts were occupied when we reached there & we had to wait quite a while before any of us got a game.. I played with this uncle called KY.. i got thrashed by him the last time we played.. he's a very good player even Fam lost to him.. but i managed to win him today! i was in very good form.. one amazing thing i discovered today: i could whack the squash ball consistently fast & hard even though it was the 5th set.. my arm strength & endurance had improved tremendously..
well i won't say yanjun's got an enjoyable game.. but she definitely looked as if she was running a marathon.. she complained she was so exhausted on our way home.. lucky i bought her favourite fruitree apple & aloe vera juice.. replenished some energy & refreshed her..

yanjun -- better rest early gal~ treat yourself to some precious sleep =)

yoZ.. it has been nearly a month since i last blogged.. somehow i always don't have time.. my friends say i'm probably too lazy to blog even when i have time.. that's quite true.. usually when i get back from camp or squash trg my eyes will find it too painful to face the computer screen for so long.. and when i have spare time i'll rather play sports, listen to music, read books or just stone around.. but hey i'm not such a playful guy K.. i do housework and cook at home often.. anyway i've always liked exercising my brains in the squash courts or basketball courts.. displaying my brilliant bodily-kinesthetic intelligence! That's me.. =) enough of self-indulgence for today..
My life's been so eventful lately.. many things just happen too quickly.. like the scenes in "2 Fast 2 Furious" which i caught last week.. i'm hoping i'll get used to it soon.. i need time to stone, to reflect upon all the happenings.. I need time to be alone..
Yup.. i'll be going down to SMU to play squash again later.. Must enjoy myself today!

suyi -- thanks for the birthday present..
tian cai -- tmr play basketball again at cashew heights k? Jason's brother got bbq birthday party there tmr.. can go join them for dinner after bball!

yoZ.. went out to play Magic in the morning with a friend yesterday.. Spent the whole afternoon downloading an antivirus software to clean my corrupted hard disk! it's so irritating & luckily i got it fixed.. Had a short nap then went out to Kallang for my match.. My opponent was an ex-national junior called Teng Kuan.. happened to be Joel's good friend.. He just came back from the States like Allan & he just completed his 2nd year in Princeton.. The world is so small man.. he knows Allan & Serene (both were from hc).. i lost my match but i took 1 set from him & i'm quite happy =) He's really good.. I foresee I should be able to reach his standard some day in the near future.. Hehe~ Darrell won & he'll be playing Dermadi the next game.. haha.. So sad! He'll kena thrashed for sure.. But wish him good luck anyway.. Went for a late dinner with Darrell at Orchard after staying so late at Kallang.. Didn't manage to pass the reference books to Suyi coz it was too late.. Hope i'll get something from the Losers' Plate event today! gtg meet Lj for basketball soon... tataZ

Friday, June 20, 2003

yoZ.. hello everyone.. oh do u all miss me? =) Glad to be blogging again.. I last touched Blogger a couple of weeks ago.. Had a really fun day today! Darrell & me had wanted to train for squash & play badminton at Yio Chu Kang in the afternoon.. when Jennifer suggested playing pool instead, we turned her down.. Then i changed my mind coz i think she could be too tired after kayaking yesterday & that we guys needed a good rest for tmr's match at Kallang.. saw Allan online in the morning & asked him out to join us for pool at Monster Cue (e one at Meridien) at 2pm.. I didn't know he was already back from the States.. Nice meeting up with him =) He's another old friend who plays basketball! "Boi, your hair abit long eh.." Had dinner with him at PS.. This poor guy had been deprived of good food for so long.. He had been craving for laksa since a few months ago.. We parted after dinner.. He headed to Bedok for some wushu thingie & I went home.. Sort of a relaxing day for me.. now i'm searching for the song "Unbreak my Heart" online coz i heard it while playing pool.. tataZ

Sunday, June 08, 2003

yoZ... this must be my slackest day of the week... slept till 10.30am in the morning... woke up just in time to catch Jackie Chan Adventures, Justice League & Pokemon with my sister... after which i lazed around & listened to FM93.3 for the week's top 20 songs... now listening to FM92.4... having a squash match later in the evening... hope I can win today... like i won yesterday... The winner gets about 150 bucks! I'll hope it comes home after so much dedication to squash...

Thursday, June 05, 2003

yoZ... went Yio Chu Kang to play squash again in the afternoon... Chuanlu came today... the 2 girls were abit late... Darrell was the earliest... Lucky he came & booked the court earlier... those Monfort pple nearly took every court available for trg... so nice of the girls to come down again to have a workout... realised I admire girls who exercise & keep their adrenaline going... hehe... Anyway went back to hwa chong & got the Soiree tix from Suyi... then waited for Yanjun to pick the poncho i was lending her for the trip to Kinabalu... was surprised to see Wanjun at the LRT station... she seemed troubled by school work... think she's a gal who likes to have so much fun that maybe she won't enjoy studying... well if u can just keep ur concentration going gal... you can definitely do well for ur A's... it's all about working HARD if u have been too soft... haha.. oh and late at night i had to meet Rongyao at Lot1 to pass him something my CSM needed... he was complaining that OC won't let him attach out for safsa dragon boat trg... hope eventually he will get his attachment like me & break free from the monotonous army life... oh and i remembered to get the 2 gals' hp no. today.. hehe

Tuesday, June 03, 2003

yoZ...went to Yio Chu Kang to play squash in the afternoon... Darrell suggested playing there coz it's nearer his house (in Thomson)... I had to travel so far! Then he invited 2 of his AJ juniors along... Jennifer & Meiying... Meiying seems more familiar & it's the first time I've seen Jennifer... They are waiting to go into Uni that's why they are so free on a Tuesday afternoon... Jennifer looks cute & she's so extremely polite... then Meiying got tt bo-chup attitude... haha...not bad knowing two more friends... the gals are playing for Allan at SCC... so would probably see them more often if i'm still active in the squash arena next year... Went to Junction 8 after squash with the gals... Had a drink at Orange Julius and ended up loitering for a while... nothing better to do so went home... took the same bus as Meiying... and how could i have forgotten to ask for their numbers? well i dunno why i'm so blurZ... hehe.. nevermind maybe ask them another time... was so tired when i reached home...

Sunday, June 01, 2003

yoZ...yesterday was a tiring but fun day! overslept in the morning coz it just had to rain in the wee hours... while those squash juniors must still travel in the rain to Kallang while i was still enjoying my sleep... reached Kallang at about 10.30am... saw the last game being played... hwa chong had already lost even before i reached the place... but at least they still showed commendable fighting spirit... heard that Yixin lost... hope she didn't feel too upset... i'm sure she tried hard! she lost her tie last year too but that time she was playing with a back injury... why must she always be on the losing side... so unfair! actually it's not fair for her to shoulder all the blame for losing... coz the loser could have easily been anyone else in the team... anyway hope next year they'll get it back! i would have felt quite out of place there if not for coach's presence... had wanted to watch the A grade finals at 2pm when coach would be playing but i came earlier instead to witness the hwa chong team win... The 'Mens' A grade finals was of a different class... it was exhilarating, pulsating & really entertaining... the best match was between Mubashir & Udai Singh... they demonstrated that squash is a NEVER SAY DIE game... Safsa came home with no prizes or trophies this season... felt we didn't deserve to end empty-handed... we got penalised for fielding Darrell, who had improved so much this season, in the last game against New Pioneers... it was a harsh decision against the team coz that cost us the 3rd place and there goes the medals... Next year if i'm the captain i'll make sure we do our best & win the honours that we ought to deserve... Everything ended at about 6.30pm... Was on my way home then unexpectedly LJ called... my buddy will always be my buddy... hee~ i didn't feel like going home straight and he suggested playing billard at MechMaster... i immediately hopped onto a 171 at Orchard and called OEC to meet us there too... We had an enjoyable time there... after which we went off for supper as I was quite famished... LJ would be doing guard duty tmr so we left quite early... realized i haven't been blogging for so many days... i only blogged 3 times last month... haha... yet there are still so many faithful friends who visit my blog daily... i really appreciate u guys... well perhaps waiting for this day? This could be the day i start opening my thoughts again... =)

yoZ...finally i'm back to blogging! Today's a fine day... had a good sleep last night... met Yj & Lj for basketball... it was quite exciting to play against those kids... fun bullying those kids... rejected them so many times... haha! taught them a good shooting lesson on basketball... went to BPP for dinner with Lj.. the Yong Tau Foo was really nice... any 6 pieces + noodles costs only $3.20 and each additional piece costs $0.40... Lj paid 6 bucks for his extremely large bowl... while i paid only 4 bucks coz i chose only 8 pieces... can't imagine he chose so many pieces - 13... and they usually cut them into smaller pieces... like 1 fishball they cut into 2 halves... one tau pok they also cut into 2 halves... haha so Lj got 26 pieces of ingredients... neva knew he's so greedy... he was complaining he wasn't v hungry yet he took so many pieces... in the end he was so bloated... haha! then he missed 171 at the bus stop and i managed to psyco him to take 184 from the interchange with me... well he would be paying slightly more for taking 2 buses but at most it's only the cost of 1 fishball man! haha... he still insisted that taking 171 is cheaper but i kept suaning abt that fishball... haha... too greedy liaoz see! okie gtg zZz... niteZ

yoZ...woke up so early today & the bad weather in the morning wrecked my plans... supposed to have squash training at Cashew Heights in the morning then play basketball with tian cai... Jason told me last minute that the courts were indeed closed and unbookable for the time being...well I thought Chuanlu could still come over for basketball then allafa sudden it started pouring heavily...so guess what? ended up playing squash at the CC with Chuanlu from 10.30am to 12.30pm while the rain never stopped...
then went for a hair cut near my place...got home & went out again... supposed to meet Suyi at hwa chong at 2.30pm but i was late for like an hour... she had wanted me to tutor her some chem stuff (but the topic turned out to be one tt wasn't in my syllabus during my time)... when i reached hwa chong i was slightly disturbed at seeing all the closed side gates... had to walk a big round to enter from the carpark to the class bench when there were like so still many pple in school! why weren't the gates opened? freaking made me walk one big round... anyway Suyi seems more cheerful now than last time... she's changed for the better... the class bench was too noisy for any discussion (coz lion dance pple trg) so i suggested we go chinese high... met Ying Feng unexpectedly near the basketball courts... apparently he saw Suyi & tried to pass some funny comments abt us... haha~ no use suaning my mei²... went through her chem tutorial on NMR... something i didn't even know... yet i managed to figure out how to solve her problems... went home at around 6pm... the weather after the morning rain seems much better... so cooling & cloudy... i had been listening to FM92.4 whole day on my mini portable radio... i like classical music! heh...okie it's getting late gtg niteZ

helloZ... Yay~ I'm finally blogging again... I'm so glad... The past week's full of surprises man...
I had fever on Sunday night...so horrible! woke up every hour of the night breaking into cold sweat...virtually didn't sleep... felt better on Monday & i was supposed to book in camp by 2359 coz there was military exercise on Tuesday but my mum brought me to see doctor... she was afraid i haven't recovered well to be able to take the physical stress... and that how i got 2 days MC... the doctor said i haven't recovered fully... booked in on Wednesday morning and went outfield straightaway... but exercise was going to cut soon and my madam was so kind enough to let me off early to prepare for my squash competition in the evening... oh i forgot to mention something... i met Wanjun on the LRT when i was going to camp on that Wednesday morning! had a nice chat with her... haven't seen her for so long... i felt so happy after seeing her... meeting her probably lifted my original dampened mood while booking in camp on such an odd day... I still have this wonderful feeling even today... haha... meeting her was lucky coz she said she usually ain't as late... and as lucky as meeting her i won my squash match in the evening even after a 2 weeks lay-off... i may have gotten some kinda *Lucky Charm* =) Had full day trg today... managed to catch the last episode of 'xi you ji hou zhuan' on Channel 8 this evening... it was such a happy and good ending... if everything in the world would end happily that would be so nice... okie gtg zZz niteZ

My mum fell sick... got into some sort of depression... dunno what's wrong with her... she don't like seeing me in front of the computer coz she's complaining the radiation from the monitor is too harmful... I shall try to please her by not touching the computer for the next couple of days... So that means no blogging... So sorry pple =) I'll try to make up for it once I can come online again...tataZ

yoZ...i'm really amazed at the rate my foot is healing...think it'll be very soon when i can start enjoying sports again! Yay~ I have been feeling like a handicapped person for the past week... Poor thing rite? But slacking days will be gone soon... Went to Orchid Park Condo in the evening... Our F-grade squash match was against UCSC... Chalked up another well deserved win after we fielded our reserve team players... I didn't want to play coz I didn't want to hinder the full recovery of my foot... discovered that Ryan came despite having a fever... told him I won't risk playing him on the spot although he kept saying he would be alright... end up our team's top 2 seeds (me & Ryan) didn't play... but we still won them 3-1... Zhenghong lost his tie against a Caucasian named Jerome... That bald & cool headed opponent was surprisingly deceptive and tricky... Zhenghong couldn't handle him and made too many unforced errors... One interesting point was that Jerome's girlfriend or probably wife was there supporting him... heh... u all knew I was gonna say his gf is v chio rite? haha... she was standing just beside me throughout the whole game... and guess what she's a Singaporean Chinese who prefers to speak English... chio bu always attracts my attention... that's not the point i'm emphasising but it's the first time one initiated a pleasant conversation with me... Anyway she left a good impression on my mind when she left... Got a lift from Darrell to Thomson where I took bus home... His dad was driving in pyjamas! haha... Spent a long time to wash my wound when i got home... sickening but i have no choice...okie gtg tataZ

yoZ...went to CCK Polyclinic this morning to see doctor... I was amazed i managed to hobble my way there... the place wasn't as crowded as it should be on normal Mondays perhaps becoz of SARS... fewer pple would want to associate themselves with hospitals and clinics...Anyway had a undergo a SARS screening before entering the premises... was normal as expected coz i didn't have fever... I came to see doctor abt my foot! got one day MC and some medication (hopefully they are useful)... Went home and changed then i booked in camp to settle some important stuff... got my MO to endorse my MC and got my off pass signed... I won't need to go back to camp for the rest of the week! Yay... that's good coz i'll have plenty of time to rest my foot... Went to Kallang in the evening coz there was E grade squash match against Chinese Swimming Club... We won quite convincingly...and everyone put in commendable effort today... that's the great team spirit and concentration! Shared cab with Ryan, who was on his way back to his camp...and i forgot to chip in the cab fare... *Oops*... Will pay back the next time =) okie gtg niteyniteZ
