The beginning of the end is coincidentally the end of the beginning. This is the beginning of my last semester's final exams. Yet it is the end of the beginning of this new year's challenges.

I was suffering from some weird pre-exam syndrome. Last night I tried to sleep at 10.30pm. Dozed off just to be aroused abruptly to check what time it was. It felt as if I had slept for quite long when I decided to peek at my phone to see what time it was. It read - 11.30pm. "Oh My God. What's happening?" I had only slept for an hour. Well I just turned back and closed my eyes hoping to start dreaming again. But that's not the end of the story.

I couldn't believe it when I was aroused several times throughout the night at hourly intervals. Woke up at 12.30pm, 1.30am, 2.30am, 3.30am, 4.30am and I couldn't take this anymore. I was tired of the irritating sleep-wake pattern and dragged myself out of bed and started washing up and flipping my notes since my circadian rhythm was haywire.

Met Jason at around 7am for a light breakfast and we shared a cab to school. Reached school so freaking early at 7.30am when the paper was due to start at 9am. It was as if we were extremly kiasu or something.

One paper done. Three more to go. What do I look forward to? Graduation is inevitable. I might be back for my MBA in the near future. I'll weigh my career options carefully over the next few months and grab opportunities to improve. That's about it so far.

LIBRA WOMAN

Libra woman has a typical egg-oval facial shape. She has nice smooth skin and a pretty good figure. She will spend so much effort to keep her skin clean and pretty. She can be easily allergic to cosmetic and make up, but taking care of her face and avoiding wrinkles are her hobbies. She is good at them and tend to look younger than her actual age.

She can be very naughty like a little boy, but yet fully 100% woman. She looks nice in either jeans or night gown. She thinks that women and men are equal. Sometimes she can think faster than you, but she will not leave you far behind. She will try not to make you feel like you are competed or defeated in any games she plays with you even though she is winning.

She is a little flirt. Well that's because she has no idea what she wants. She can not decide what to do, and what not to do. So you see, she can not set her schedule very well in all cases. She is gifted with dress sense. She likes to dress in black and wear perfume. She likes mild floral scents.

She can really argue in all cases. She can argue for hours, and still win the argument most of the time. If it is not a serious argument, she could argue and give you a smile at the same time. She will make a good politician, because she can tell which party will win the election.

She always has a good reasons, even when she likes to contradict herself. She can not decide what is right and wrong for her, because everything has a good side and a bad side. Women in other zodiac signs might not care about what other people think, but Libra women care about what other people, or what you feel as much as her own feeling.

She can adapt to her environment very well, so at work she will be at the top of the ladder. She likes team work when doing things. If you ask her for help or advice, she will help you unless she does not like you. She can change you and make you think that you change by yourself without her influence.

The good side of being with a Libra woman is that she never interferes with your privacy. She will not make you lose face in front of your friends. Although she cares about how much money she has in her bank account, she will never forget to let you know how much she cares for you.

She thinks taking care of the house is a woman's job and she can do it well. But if you expect a Libra woman to fear you, then you are wrong. She is a strong woman even though she may look at you with her sweet innocent pair of eyes.

If she is the one you are after, then go step by step. The best way is using her friends to introduce you to her. Do not make her feel or treat her like an air head. You have to move forward and towards her with confidence and steadiness. Show her that you are a kind, polite and real gentleman. Be a slow hand or else you might get smacked!

Today is April Fool's Day. I wonder if this reflects accurately enough about me. Haha.. Some food for thought for those who know me =)

CANCER MAN

The most sensitive man and the weakest emotional type in all Zodiacs. Most artists are Cancer. Cancer is controlled by the "Moon" and the moon changes it's shape daily, so a Cancer man's emotions and moods change all the time too. You will be confused with him and yet it is his constant changes that "charm" you. He never goes to get what he wants directly, but he will wait for a chance and opportunity to do so. Once he gets what he wants, he will not lose it, except if he gets tired of it by himself.

The most sensitive man who can not stand rejection. He cares what other people feel or think of him. He hates losing face and he tends to over protect himself, so sometimes people might think he is a cold person.

Cancer is gifted, creative and imaginative. Mystery and complexity play a major role in the life of a Cancer man. He could be very funny, very quiet, suddenly very sad. Living with him could be very unexpected, for you will not know what is his next mood. If you like excitement and surprise, you have the right guy and never have a chance to get bored.

He thinks of his home as "nest" and it is the safest place for him. If he feels hurt or depressed he will stay at home alone quietly. Once he feels better, he will come out of his retreat and lives normally again. Being a loser is not him.

It is so easy to fall in love with this guy because he is gentle and a very polite guy. His wit and creative mind could win your affection. He will come out from his nest to protect you even if he is not opening himself up to other people much. Not many people will win his heart. His security is only satisfied when he has money in his pocket. Once he feels secure then he might think of having a happy family. Even though he likes to make and keep money, he is not stingy. Spending money is part of keeping his good image, so he will be happy to spent money to take you out to a very expensive restaurant or buy a jewellery for you.

Certainly when he has money OK. He is possessive to everything that he thinks belongs to him. Don't try to talk to another cute guy in front of him, he will get suspicious because he is not very secure or confident in himself for this kind of competition.

Once you know each other too much, he will start to look for new excitement, but not to worry for he will always think of you. If he thinks you are his true love for him, and you try once to disappear be sure he will come and look for you.

He is a shy guy, but if he likes you. You can get up in the morning and see that he is in front of your house everyday till you go out with him, a very persistent guy.

He likes a secure, cheerful and lively woman, confident but at the same time always acting proper and appropriate. He likes a secure woman who is able to adjust to his rapid changes. A very difficult type of woman to find indeed.

In the beginning, you and him will be so sugary sweet together and he will only think of you. This so called "super romance" may not last forever, so don't slip this chance. If you are the one who want his interest, then act and make yourself interesting. Be a supportive person and give him compliment sometimes, but not too much till he thinks that you are not sincere.

Unlike many other Zodiacs, if he is mad then you better get out of his room. He will calm down by himself. Giving him a slight touch on his shoulders or a concerned facial expression is good enough.

Came across an interesting article on compatibility. This is a thought provoking one..

Who is Your Type?

Ask someone who their "type" is and you'll get responses ranging from an itemized shopping list full of physical, behavioral, cultural and occupational details to a laissez-faire, carpe-diem approach of "whoever shows up in my life." When it comes to relationship longevity and happiness, however, the best "type" for anyone, regardless of age, race, gender or creed, is one who shares compatible core values that are rooted in the deepest levels of personality.

But what does "Compatible" mean?
The word "compatible" is thrown around a lot these days in everything from computer programs to finding true love. Indeed, without compatibility in our lives, things just don't work as well as they could—including romantic relationships.

Simply put, being compatible with a partner means that you share enough core traits, core values and relationship skills. Not having enough of these shared aspects is a strong indication that there will be problems down the road, no matter how much physical attraction and chemistry exists in the beginning and throughout the relationship.

Chemistry and compatibility
In the beginning of any romance—whether compatible or not—the sweet scent of love and lust hangs in the air like the most intoxicating perfume. The object of your desire floats in and out of your thoughts and brings a smile to your face and hopes into your heart of what's to come. And that's what makes love great and keeps us coming back for more—the promise of what's to come.

It is this kind of love that is idealized in TV and movies, and books and songs—the kind that starts fast and lasts forever; or so it seems. Yet in the initial stages of getting to know someone without the benefit of being matched for compatibility in advance, the attraction is based largely on five traits only: appearance, chemistry, front-end personality (chatter), status and sense of humor. In the long run, with no other shared compatibilities, the relationship will one day come to a halt just as fast as it began. So stop buying into generalizations like "all men are like this…" and "all women are like this…" and stop punishing yourself with those self-deprecating books like He's Just Not That Into You, and educate yourself on what makes for good compatibility so you'll know when it's there—and when it's not—up front.

What does compatibility look like?
In truly compatible relationships, love deepens further between partners through cycles of self-discovery and then rediscovery of each other. Over and over again, they fall in love in slightly different ways, reaffirming their shared commitment toward the relationship they share.

Despite beginning in the same euphoric way as compatible relationships, incompatible relationships by contrast have a much different outcome as time marches on. Instead of falling in love more deeply over time with one another, each partner falls into emotionally separating periods of resentment that mount until the pain and frustration of tolerating the other's idiosyncrasies outweighs the desire to keep the relationship going. When things go from bad to worse in a relationship over and over again, the desire to see what's to come can be a scary prospect! The oh-so-good feelings during the "honeymoon period" will have less than happy endings several months—even weeks—later, depending on the motivations and compatibilities that both partners share.

So whether on a first pass you prefer the strong brunette or the gentle blonde, the intellectual or the artist, or the fashonista vs. the girl or boy next door, one thing's for certain: if you're looking for a long-term, satisfying relationship that spans beyond the usual six to eight months of honeymoon period, you're going to need shared core traits and values, as well as similar relationship skills like communication and conflict management styles. That's why chemistry alone is not enough to keep the spark going past the 6- to 8-month mark.

Compatibility is the difference between a relationship that starts and lasts, deepening as it goes and redefining your view on love, and a relationship that starts and fails, ending in bitter disappointment and varying degrees of emotional distress. A few rounds of those kind of relationships and it's no wonder hope about finding someone who really fits you and you fit them starts to diminish. But the good news is that it doesn't have to be that way.

How can I tell who my type is?
Knowing how to spot your type is a two-part process. First, you must know your own traits, values and relationship skills that you bring to the table—good ones and areas where you could possibly improve. Then from there you'll be able to recognize the traits in others that go well with yours, and that's when the magic really starts to happen. You'll start getting to know people and experiencing the great euphoria of love's beginning, but it will keep getting better and better.

It's okay to have some dissimilarity between you and a love interest, so long as these differences are not one of the core values, traits or relationship skills that are so vital to relationship longevity and happiness. At first opposites may attract, but over time those necessities initially overlooked become real problems later on in the relationship. It's not a big deal if your partner likes country, and you are more into rock n' roll, or if your partner likes reality TV and you like watching sports. It would matter more, however, if you approach most things with spontaneity and your partner is a planner," or if you are more of a socialite and your partner is a homebody.

The next time you find yourself making excuses for incompatibilities for the sake of new-romance euphoria, gently remind yourself that avoidance now will lead to stress later—and who needs that? Remember that who's around you at the moment isn't the only thing available to you. Compatible love is everywhere, if you know how to look.

The Compatible Seven
Commit these Compatible Seven to memory and keep them in mind when getting to know someone, both online and during the first few dates you go on. They can also be used to review shared compatibilities in existing relationships.

Spiritual harmony — for some shared religious affiliation is an absolute must. For others, affiliation is not as important as a shared level of spirituality. Find out where you are, and make sure you're on the same relative level.
Desire for verbal intimacy and ability to be intimate—men may be from Mars and women from Venus when it comes to communication, but even so there is a general level of verbal intimacy skills that must be shared. The ability to be honest about thoughts and feelings is a great indicator.

Energy level — if you enjoy more low-key activities but a potential partner is all about extreme outdoor sports, you may want to rethink getting together with them in a serious way. As exciting as people who are different from us appear, remember the tried-and-true axiom: Opposites attract, then attack.

Ambition level — if you want to take over the world and all its earthly spoils but your date wants to save the world from people like you, heed caution.

Role expectations — if a female desires to one day be a traditional, stay-at-home mom, but her potential partner believes that women should be more independent, Houston, we have a problem.

Interests — while some dissimilarity in interests is okay and even educational for both partners, it's how much investment a partner has in them that will tell you whether you'll be able to enjoy sharing that time with them. It's not enough to "put up with" many dissimilar interests—it's your time, too, so make sure you can enjoy them as well, and likewise, they can and are willing to enjoy yours as well.

Personal habits — good hygiene is pretty much essential across the board, but other personal habits like drinking, eating and acceptable levels of order and cleanliness are details that seem able to be overlooked at first, but can be real sources of aggravation later. Try to be on the same page as much as possible.

Putting it all together
Since attraction alone is not enough to overcome core incompatibilities that lead to relationship stress and difficulties, the sooner you discover your own core values, traits and relationship skills, the sooner you'll be able to recognize them in someone else who is compatible with you. Instead of dating whomever shows up in your life—or not dating at all—you'll be able to experience the kind of happy relationship that you may have always dreamed about or have recently realized that your life is missing.

Happy relationships teach us about ourselves and others, and the world around us, while the consequences of unhappy relationships are frustration, annoyance and pain. People fall in love with the complete package—it is the sum of compatibility and shared inner core values plus attraction and chemistry that makes for a successful long-term union. The more similarities you share with a potential partner, the less need there will be to negotiate differences.

Your type IS someone who…
Excites you
Shares your core values, core traits and relationship skills
Makes you laugh
Appreciates your dreams
Respects you
Makes you feel good to be around
Helps you to be a better version of yourself

Your type is NOT someone who…
Consistently frustrates you
Disrespects your goals and dreams
Does not share core values, core traits and relationship skills
Disrespects you
Tears you down emotionally, leaving you insecure and constantly questioning the relationship
Absorbs who you are and limits your interests, activities and personal growth

today was a randomly hectic day. realized that my plan for mugging whole day didn't work out at all after a sudden twist of events. gave Ben tuition in the morning. supposed to give him tuition on Saturday but i managed to postpone it till today. expected my day to kick start well in the morning. unfortunately the expressway had to be jammed in the late morning with several accidents on PIE although it wasn't even raining. so was kinda late for tuition. but it didn't matter much to my student coz his parents were not home and he was enjoying his sch holiday. after tuition i planned to go home for lunch and start studying but a twist of events happened.

one of my squash student from SMU ordered a new pair of shoes from me some time back and she was chiding me for not passing it sooner to her to try. i thought of maybe passing to her another day coz i wanted to be home to study. then suddenly Jason called me to tell me that he wanted to play squash in the evening with Brandon and that he needed his racket which he left with me for restringing. i didn't meet up with my sponsor yesterday coz he usually close shop on Sunday. eventually i decided to settle everything once and for all. so after tuition i met my brother who was on his way to a job interview at Bugis. intercepted him to get Jason's racket and my student's shoes which he brought out of the house for me. then brought him along Bras Basah to apply for his new ATM card and then left him for his interview. In the span of an hour, i managed to meet my student at SMU (she happily tried out her pair of shoes which fortunately fit her just comfortably) and went to find my sponsor (he managed to restring Jason's racket in 15 mins). after that i went back to find my brother at the place where he had his interview. glad that he was kinda selected to come back tomorrow for some confirmation of employment. so i brought him to nearby Bugis Junction to shop for some working attire. he just finished his O's and he doesn't even have a few nice clothes or casual wear. so bought a pair of nice jeans from Bossini and a polo tee for him. i was tempted to buy a pair of jeans for myself too coz i haven't bought any since more than 1 year ago. think i spent a significant amount of $ today. anyway the spending spree isn't over yet. my brother had no mobile phone. so i thought of getting him one to remain contactable since he's gonna be like working till he gets into Poly which is several months from now. remembered there was still my old LG phone which he could use although i dunno if it's still in good working condition. so i tried to enquire around to purchase a prepaid SIM card from Starhub. just found out that now 7-eleven stores are like selling prepaid SIM card instead of the service providers themselves. tried purchasing one but something was wrong with the purchase system in that store and they couldn't register with Starhub for any transactions. so gonna get one tmr morning from another outlet. coincidentally enquired about my MaxOnline contract status at one of the Starhub shops. found out that my 24-mth contract already expired and i could actually get my Dad to renew it. Starhub said they would be giving away a free Compaq laptop after we renew it for 28 mths! oh man what a great deal! could probably sell the new laptop for quite a reasonable amount and use the money to buy a new TV for my living room. the old 21" TV in my living room is kinda spoilt already. the screen has blurred badly for quite a few weeks and there's not enough cash flow to purchase a new TV at this time. i'm grateful that heaven is really kind enough to us. Go Starhub! haha..

tmr will be a day where i'll religiously mugging. i will get things done on time. yeah.

Sunday, November 19, 2006

woke up quite late today coz watched the Newcastle vs Arsenal match and i slept late. was still thrilled at Dyer's goal after his injury lay off for 18 mths. it's like a new signing for Newcastle. rejuvenated. that's what they called him. he inspired everyone. what a player of tremendous ability he is. i really admire his capability. haha. motivated to blog about my Newcastle again. my support will never falter.

waited for my dad to come home from his usual badminton game on Sunday to have family lunch. rushed off to Kallang to catch inter-con squash finals. my old team was competiting for the 3rd and 4th placings after losing out to Gombak in the semis. Jason didn't even need to play coz the team already won all the 4 other ties. haha.. Huijuan played the ladies tie and won 3-1. her game was quite unpredictable and somehow inconsistent. luckily she made much less mistakes than her opponent and won comfortably. come to think of it she had been coming for NUS squash training quite often and although I only managed to conduct a handful of sessions, she still showed glimpses that she's capable of being consistent inside the court. i first knew her as my student and i gave her A level chem tuition. sounds long ago but it was only like last year when she was in JC2 and the year before last when she was in JC1. time really flies.

she's quite pretty i think. but do you know why she's not attached? haha.. coz she's quite violent and accident prone. Oops! but i think she's got quite a funny character. after her match ended she kept saying she's scared she got not enough time to study. had to pacify and reassure her that uni exam isn't that bad. haha. think she needs some focus to study more efficiently. anyway i guess i'm gonna need the same amount of focus to study well too.

my future student Shi Ming is probably the mastermind behind the revival of my blog. all my beloved, loyal visitors shall bear witness to this. must thank her for some motivation. I haven't blogged for nearly a year. everyone knows this. not that i am too busy or too lazy to blog. i used to blog for another reason. which is to satisfy myself emotionally. now i'm making myself happy by being more sociable and meeting new friends.

for once i managed to catch my best friend online and we exchanged viewing webcams. he showed me his room layout in the US. cool man. his room is as cosy as mine. haha! though my desk is like much bigger than his pathetically small pc desk. anyway i showed him my room too. nice to keep in contact visually. not that i didn't miss him. i'm just delighted that we both strive to keep in contact with each other. it's some kinda high level chemistry few people would understand. and i'm basking in the warmth of such a close yet long-distance relationship. haha! MSN rules man. promised him that when he's coming back for a short 3 weeks in Dec, we would spend quality time together. playing basketball, ping pong, soccer, snooker, staying over, buffeting. can't imagine life without him. he is an ultimate source of motivation in my life. as i am to him (i hope). haha! that one he gotta acknowledge otherwise that latter statement won't be valid.

bought a sling bag for my sis's birthday present. think it's quite nice. she forever likes pinky stuff. which girl doesn't. haha!

anyway went to bugis and kallang in the evening to settle some stuff with my sponsor and then my boss the national coach. took a lift home. nice to reach home early though i was so far away. i could have taken much longer.
Brian McKnight - Back At One

this is a very nice song! take time to listen with your heart!

this is my newly completed masterpiece! anyone find this nice? i personally like it alot so i framed it up nicely =)
today was exceptionally enjoyable. gave Lydia tuition in the early afternoon. glad it's finally the last session. her A level chemistry is gonna be over in no time. and she should be able to score predictably well. she kinda aced her prelims 2 months ago. a smart and hardworking girl she is. i'm glad to help her achieve the grades she actually deserves. it's an honour to have this teacher-student-friend relationship. guess years down the road this respect and friendship won't just simply end. she's a nice friend to keep for life since she's already attached. haha!

after that met jason at bugis to travel down to pasir ris. met my dear friend steven and the 3 of us shared a cab to changi beach club to play squash. steven just came back from switzerland last week and he actually bought me tax free Bailey's Irish Cream from DFS which i asked for! he's a real sincere and good friend. interesting and meaningful company in the absence of my best friend who is now still in US. this guys is like the boss of an IT firm and runs the firm on his own with his staff of course. he's quite established financially. i quite admire his down to earth character despite his wealthy upbringing. he's independent and knowledgeable. good conversationalist. and i can go on talking about his good attributes. the only difference we have is probably some moral issues which i won't elaborate on much. basically it has something to do with sex, prostitutes and a liberal society. he had his fair share of education in Australia and was exposed to the open society over there. he's been exposed to many things that i have never been coz i haven't been really out of Singapore. that explains his differing views on some issues like the red light district of Geylang and related stuff. anyway i do enjoy his intelligent company. so did jason. knowing him, he was quite reluctant to travel all the way from panjang to changi. but for the fact that before steven left for his switzerland trip, he came over to cashew heights to play squash with us, jason obliged to return the sincerity of our friend. so we had an enjoyable evening from 5pm to 7.30pm where we played squash non stop. haha. after showering in the luxurious restroom, we left the club for tampines mall coz i suggested dining at pastamania. was utterly famished and wanted to carbo-load. so ordered like ocean baked pasta, potato salad, hawaiian pizza, mushroom cream soup, garlic bread and ice lemon tea. what a feast although it wasn't a buffet. i shall buffet someday soon when i can find company! miss buffet. so reached home not too early. my siblings were all asleep already. they have sch tmr. and i need to restring both my rackets tmr as the strings broke one after another. so need to wake up early tmr to find my sponsor and settle some issues.

shall post again soon when i have the time. and i have a good feeling that i will be having alot of time soon coz my exams are coming soon. meaning no more sch and lectures. but lotsa time to plan my studying and other activities to see out my exam period. looking forward to a possible ktv session next week organised by chuan. my SMU squash students very onZ. really like their spirit. they always make me happy. and i make them happy too. cheers man!

spent some time reading through this report churned out by eHarmony.com.. realised how detailed and lengthy this is.. My gosh! think whoever can be my best match in life must be a superwoman man.. haha =)

She tends to take charge when things need to get done.

She enjoys doing things well and takes pride in what she does.

She generally does her best to be honest in all situations, even when it can be difficult.

She is very interested in knowing and learning about certain things.

Some important qualities that your ideal partner brings to the relationship are:

She loves to spend time catching up with friends.

Her easy conversational manner makes her a great companion.

She tends to be generous and supportive of her friends.

She sometimes enjoys sharing a great joke or humorous movie with friends.

Important goals and values for your ideal mate in a relationship are:

She needs to feel that she is helping others.

Working to give something back into the community is important to her.

Sharing parenting values and ideas is important to her.

She will be able to share your core spiritual beliefs.

Social Orientation describes how much of your behavior is motivated by the desire to get along with and be liked by other people, as well as how much is driven by the desire to be seen as an effective problem solver who is self sufficient. People with a strong External Orientation place a high value on communicating their thoughts and feelings with other people. People with a strong Internal Orientation place a high value on individual effectiveness, competence and autonomy. The dimensions that we assess as part of your Social Orientation are Conflict Management, Character, Vitality and Security, Communication Style, Kindness and Autonomy.

Based on your profile, you are most compatible with women who fit the following descriptions:

Communication: You will have the best relationship with a woman who believes easy conversation is essential to a good relationship. She's comfortable speaking her mind, but she also sees the importance of listening to someone else's point of view. Friends and family appreciate her ability to listen and speak with candor.

Kindness: Your ideal mate goes out of her way to do nice things for you. She's the kind of person who will let you know she cares, whether it's surprising you with baseball tickets or making you your favorite meal. She won't take you for granted. She wants to be there for you when you have a problem.

Some additional details about your ideal mate:

Character: Your ideal mate is a woman who doesn't pretend to be perfect. She does, however, make a sincere effort to relate to other people. She's the type of person who's nice but who is by no means a saint. She will appreciate your ability to get along with others but won't expect you to always put the needs of others before your own.

Autonomy: You will be best matched with someone who wants to know all of the important things about your past. She'll be equally interested in living in the present and planning a future. She won't need to know every detail about your life or every thought that crosses your mind. She's the kind of person who sees herself as part of a couple but still maintains her independence and identity.

Vitality and Security: You need a woman who is honest and reliable. She has a good understanding of what it takes to make a relationship work over the long haul. She wants to build a relationship that will last but doesn't need you for constant support.

Conflict Resolution: You'll be happiest with a woman who tries to avoid conflict altogether. When she does have a disagreement, she tries to keep the peace instead of adding fuel to the fire. Resolving the argument is generally more important to her than being right, but she will stand up for herself.

The Extraversion scale assesses how you feel when you are around people. Extroverts are generally comfortable at the center of attention. They rarely feel a need for "alone time" and are almost always eager to meet new people. Introverts, on the other hand, avoid the spotlight when they can, approach many social gatherings with hesitation, and relish time spent with good friends whom they know well. While most people exhibit a mix of Introvert and Extrovert qualities based on what kind of social situation they are in, people who are strongly Extroverted often place the largest value on having many friends and making new friends easily. In contrast, people who are strongly Introverted generally place the highest value on having a few very deep and meaningful friendships. The dimensions of your profile which are associated with Extraversion are Emotional Energy, Sociability, Adaptability, Humor, Romantic Passion and Dominance.

Based on your profile, you are most compatible with women who fit the following descriptions:

Adaptability: Your ideal mate is someone who can think outside the box when faced with a problem. She's able to think of creative ways to solve a problem or resolve an argument. She tries to approach challenges with an open mind so that she's not tied to conventional solutions. Friends generally describe her as the kind of person who is calm in a crisis.

Romantic Passion: Your ideal mate is a sensual person who enjoys occasional romantic gestures like a night of soft music, candles and good conversation. But she doesn't overemphasize romance or put unrealistic expectations on her partner. She knows there are more important things in a relationship.

Some additional details about your ideal mate:

Emotional Energy: You'll be happiest with a woman who's outgoing and vivacious but doesn't need to always be on the move. She'd generally rather do something than talk about it, whether it's a new hobby or a project at work.

Dominance: You are best suited to someone who doesn't take competition to extremes. She likes to win but doesn't need to do so at all costs. She is aggressive when the situation warrants it, such as when vying for a promotion or playing tennis in front of a crowd, but can accept a loss with grace.

Sociability: You'll be happiest with a woman who likes to spend time with old friends and make new ones. She might not always be the first to strike up a conversation with a stranger, but she is rarely tongue-tied once the conversation is underway. At parties, she's the type of person who isn't afraid to venture outside her group of friends.

Humor: Your ideal mate is the kind of woman who is funny and interesting. Sometimes, she likes telling jokes and making people laugh with things like one-liners or satirical observations about friends and family. But she doesn't need to be a constant one-woman show.

Openness refers to a person's willingness to experience new and creative ideas. People who score low on Openness tend to place a high value on tradition and belonging to a group. People who score high on Openness tend to place a high value on imagination and individualism. Extreme scores on Openness also often distinguish between people who enjoy thinking in symbols and abstractions to people who prefer ideas which are clear and concrete. The dimensions of your profile that we consider as part of Openness are Artistic Passion, Curiosity and Intellect.

Based on your profile, you are most compatible with women who fit the following descriptions:

Curiosity: You will be well matched with a woman who likes to understand the world around her. She's generally inquisitive and knowledgeable about subjects that pertain to her life, whether she's a politics junkie or a baseball fan. If she's not interested in an issue, she probably won't feel compelled to read up on it just to expand her knowledge.

Artistic Passion: You are best suited to someone who wants art and culture in her life. She probably enjoys attending events and performances, such as the theater, poetry readings and art exhibitions. Friends see her as the kind of person who needs regular exposure to the arts in order to be happy.

Intellect: Your ideal mate is knowledgeable and well-read. She has varied interests but isn't driven to be an expert on everything. She values education but isn't consumed by it. She doesn't need to be the smartest person in the room.

Physicality separates people who enjoy being physically energetic and active from those who are uncomfortable or dislike engaging in sports or strenuous activity. Some people push life to the limit, scaling mountains or competing in triathlons. People with a less demanding sense of Physicality enjoy looking at mountains more than climbing them. The dimensions of your profile which compose the most important aspects of your Physicality are Appearance, Physical Energy and Sexual Passion.

Based on your profile, you are most compatible with women who fit the following descriptions:

Physical Energy: You are most compatible with someone who may have a hard time sitting still. She's the kind of person who's energetic and active, whether she's heading out for a jog or a mountain biking trek. She generally feels best at the end of a day if she's gotten some kind of exercise.

Sexual Passion: Your ideal companion is looking for the surge of physical excitement that comes with falling in love. When she's with her partner, she expects a physical connection that goes beyond compatible personalities and interests. Physical chemistry isn't her only need, or even her main one, but she does want to feel a strong desire for her partner.

Appearance: You are most compatible with a woman who wants to look good but doesn't obsess over it. She will appreciate the time and effort you put into your appearance and be happy with the end result. Ultimately, however, she is more concerned with who you are than what you look like.

Goal Orientation refers to the drive to plan for the future versus the urge to live in the moment. People who score low on Goal Orientation are generally spontaneous and free spirited. They are likely to act on their first impulse and worry about the consequences afterwards and place a high value on being clever and lucky. People who score high on Goal Orientation, on the other hand, are more driven to think about future consequences before acting, place a high value on being wise and cautious, and like to always put their best foot forward. The dimensions of your profile that relate to your Goal Orientation are Industry, Ambition, Organization and Education.

Based on your profile, you are most compatible with women who fit the following descriptions:

Organization: Your ideal mate is reliable. She isn't the type of person who constantly changes her mind. Her thoughts and her life are well put together. She is disciplined and believes in long-term planning.

Industry: You are best suited to a woman who likes to stay busy. You will find it hard to relate to anyone who is lazy, unproductive or inefficient. Your ideal mate is someone who places a high value on pulling her own weight, whether it's a project at work or her share of household chores.

Some additional details about your ideal mate:

Ambition: Your ideal mate is the kind of person who strives to be the best at what she does. She understands your desire to be recognized for your accomplishments. But she won't turn her quest for success into something that will dominate her life. Things like family, friends and time to herself are important to her.

Education: Your ideal mate is a woman who wants her partner to be her intellectual equal. She's passionate about ideas, so she is looking for someone who is interested in discussing things like religion, politics, ethics or science. If a man is unable to converse intellectually, she generally loses interest.

While day-to-day events play a major role in our feelings, there are deep-seated patterns of emotion that underlie our personality and stretch across the span of our lives. These patterns are considered your Emotional Temperament. People who score high on Emotional Temperament are generally upbeat about life and are slow to get upset in the face of minor setbacks or disappointments. People who score low on Emotional Temperament are more likely to experience feelings such as anxiety, anger and depression on a regular basis. The dimensions of your profile that compose your Emotional Temperament are Mood Management, Self-Concept, Emotional Status, Anger Management and Obstreperousness.

Based on your profile, you are most compatible with women who fit the following descriptions:

Mood Management: You will be most satisfied with a woman who avoids letting her bad moods affect others. When she is feeling down, she's considerate of others by avoiding them or being careful not to be rude. Even when she's having a bad day, she isn't overly sensitive.

Self-Concept: Your ideal match is someone who won't change herself just to fit in. She believes in herself and doesn't look to others for approval. Other people see her as self-assured and well adjusted.

Some additional details about your ideal mate:

Emotional Status: You are best suited to a woman who is generally happy and hopeful for the future. There are things in her life she'd like to improve, but she generally has faith that she'll attain her goals. She's not the type of person to overreact when she has a problem. Friends see her as someone who tries to focus on the positive.

Obstreperousness: Your ideal mate is someone who isn't afraid to stand up for her opinions, but doesn't always feel the need to do so. You need someone who has beliefs and confidence strong enough to match your own. However, you will not do well with someone who needs to dominate every conversation and win every argument. You will do best with someone who knows when to speak her mind, and when to just go along with the people around her.

Anger Management: You will be happiest with a woman who controls her temper. Generally speaking, she has a long fuse. When she does get mad, she doesn't take it out on others or blame them for her frustration.

Many significant ingredients, like upbringing, family goals and spirituality combine to form a person's values and beliefs. Whatever form they take, your values are one of the most powerful determinants of your behavior. Values also play a large role in who we feel comfortable being around and who we find attractive. Dissimilarity in values generally causes discomfort or awkwardness in social situations. Although close friends, family and loved ones can often have one or two stark contrasts in their values, this is made possible by a greater number of shared values, backgrounds and experiences that provide a framework of comfort and similarity. When building an intimate relationship, establishing shared values early on is key to long-term success. The dimensions that we consider as part of your Personal Values are Traditionalism, Spirituality, Family Goals and Altruism.

Based on your profile, you are most compatible with women who fit the following descriptions:

Family Goals: Your ideal mate shares your desires to start a new family and experience the joys of parenthood. She loves kids and expects that they will play a central role in her life.

Family Background: Your ideal mate has a good relationship with her family, but it's not perfect. They enjoy spending time together but do have occasional disagreements. She's understands that family dynamics can work even when they're not perfect.

Some additional details about your ideal mate:

Spirituality: Your ideal mate is someone who is probably either involved in a religious community or who has an individualistic spiritual life. She's the kind of person who finds herself drawn on occasion to faith communities. She might attend services but may not be an active member of a congregation.

Traditionalism: You'll be happiest with a woman who considers herself a good person: She has strong values and her moral beliefs are an important part of who she is. She probably believes that values related to religion, country and family provide important general guidelines for life.

Altruism: Your ideal mate is someone who cares about the needy. She believes society is dependent on everyone to solve problems, so she turns her convictions into action. Perhaps she volunteers at the local soup kitchen or organizes a recycling or clothing drive. She's known for her willingness to do whatever she can to assist others.

Sunday. the 1st Sunday after my exams was spent largely at expo and changi airport. if you know me well enough i rarely travel to such places of interest especially when they are in the eastern part of the country. the Sitex exhibition was the main reason why i was there. cool gadgets. big boyz toys they call it. haha. somehow majority of those sales pple who served me from most booths were girls. not that i picked on them but they just happen to be free. and they know their stuff. was sourcing for digital camera, micro hi-fi, nano silicon OAD, screen protector, plasma TV and engrossing myself in the latest technologies. it was the last day of the exhibition. pple were slashing prices and bundling freebies as usual. was nearly persuaded to purchase a Samsung digital camera with lotsa freebies thrown in. but i just managed to hold my wallet. that salesman must be pissed after trying too hard. the prices of digital cameras are quite steep. i'm sure i can get better deals. maybe on Ebay or somewhere.

my friend and i left the expo sitex exhibition and headed for changi airport. i seriously haven't been there for ages. it's changed alot. the galleries are not that spectacular anymore. although the one at T1 is still cool, the one at T2 where u can watch planes take off cannot make it. i wonder what i was doing there. can't even watch the planes take off. boring. added on to my misery when i reached home after finish watching EPL newcastle lost without owen again. he better come back soon. life without him is tough.

someone made my day significant today. that's why i'm blogging. there haven't been interesting happenings around for so long. well Jillian was online. chatted with her for quite a while. but that wasn't quite the reason.

151. i got on this SBS bus 151 at the stop opposite Ngee Ann Poly early morning. rush hour again. so no choice had to squeeze up the bus. this bus driver was a china-man. he sounded like he was from china. his slang was obvious when he tried to politely will people to move to the rear. the bus was obviously packed to the max already by the time it left the stop. at the next stop, there were people flagging for the bus. astonishingly the driver stopped the bus and opened the door even though no one pressed the bell to alight and for goodness sake there's no way to cram even one more skinny person up the bus. he waited for a while before deciding to close the front doors. this isn't a great deal. but. story's not over.

the bus was approaching the next stop. lo and behold. he stopped the bus again coz there were people flagging for it. this time someone tried squeezing up but to no avail. again the bus was delayed by another few minutes but it didn't pick up any extra passengers.

at the next stop. horrors of horrors. the bus stopped again. it's like never gonna not stop at any stops. doesn't this bus driver have any common sense? that's super duper time wasting. mind you it's a non air-con bus. everyone's sweaty and turned off by the speed of travelling. really WOLS. and this driver. he made an incredible record. out of 8 traffic lights from Ngee Ann Poly to NUS he kena all 8 red lights. haha. best. plate number 1893. i must buy 4D. no! should be TOTO coz it's Monday.

i couldn't believe. it's still not over. after lecture i was waiting for 151 from opposite YIH at about 3pm. had to give tuition at somewhere near KAP at 3.30pm. stroke of luck again. 1893. that china man driver. if i buy TOTO today i sure win man. i hope he's blessed with common sense soon in the near future.

hello! i'm finally blogging again. there might really be a blue moon tonight for all you know. haha. anyway. in May i've had no motivation to blog. come June when my best friend came back from US i was so busy keeping myself busy. all the way till July. which is now. tuition. squash coaching. swimming. singing. buffet. occasional mahjong. there's gotta be more to life man!

realised i had a hangover after exams in May. i couldn't get used to not going to school. i couldn't believe the stress of taking 6 modules was finally over. i couldn't find a proper job. everyday was just plain boring. painful to pass. until the day i saw Danitza. 23rd of May. Vesak Day. what a day 2 months ago. i'm not kidding but that day was kinda a turning point for me. from then on things that happened have been meaningful as well as wonderful. i realised i just had to keep doing meaningful things to keep myself busy so that i won't lament about wasting my precious time doing nothing. and i did it.

i learnt alot of things this hols. it's my first university summer break for 3 months. i kinda wasted the 1st month which is pathetic. losing money while playing mahjong. not working and eating v. little to save money. playing basketball and injuring myself. luckily the 2nd month and 3rd month was spent on more constructive stuff. tuition. squash coaching. those rendered some timely income. great to keep in touch with squash again though. supported Jillian through her tournaments. it was nice seeing her grow in maturity of her game. my best friend came back from US. that was another joyous thing. best company i can have. table-tennis. basketball. singing. swimming. buffet. watching soccer. sleeping over. best activity partners you can say. my life's been like going up up and up. haha. like a balloon filled with helium gas floating from the earth to space. i shall be happy even though school's starting soon. Joy to all pple!

it's been 10 days since i last blogged. how's my life? well. i'll likened it to newcastle's winning streak of 4 games in 10 days. enjoyable. that's the word. i can foresee the busy me in the next 2 months. tons of reports and research papers due. CAs. exams. squash competitions. all these are personal challenges. i'm recharged and rejuvenated. ready for the stressful days ahead. hope for the best. and prepare for the worst. i'm doing the latter now. NO FEAR! holidays will come. haha.

so turned out i had to skip an afternoon lecture. just for the sake of going to town with Qubee not for anything else but to visit the Asian Civilization Museum to churn out a report by Friday. on a plus note. the exhibits were rare and unique. basically an eye-opener. but history can be dull. especially when you try to speculate certain trends of convergence and divergence. there's no actual answer. you can only guess. what's the point of guessing without knowing the answer? ask the historians.

chanced upon a funny topic. Tian Cai you should read this.
i brought my sister for a haircut recently. there was no more QB House. the name changed to EC House. i was wondering how come they changed the name to EC House. and i found out "EC" meant "Express Cut". so i'm fine with that. then what did QB stand for previously? and does it mean QB doesn't own it anymore? i was on the bus asking Qubee and he said. the initials are still the same person. and i was laughing away.

finally blogging again. this is really an accomplishment. haha. to find time to blog. today was an exceptionally good day. was so punctual for lab practical. and today's practical was so fun. everyone was having fun anyway.

after lab. had lunch with my lab partner. one of my friend described her as gentle and feminine. haha. hinting me to chase her ahh. well i've got someone else in mind now. so i won't two-time. just following my principle. but she's a nice friend to have.

during lunch. my sister's teacher called me. told me she's suspected of developing chicken pox. that's like so out of the blue. she was still alright this morning. no rashes or anything. so interesting. and so i got my dad to fetch her to see a doctor coz i was still having lessons. interestingly she did get chicken pox. now my one week break would be spent staying at home taking care of her.

after lessons. basketball. only played like 45 mins before it started pouring. cats and dogs. but that 45 mins was satisfying enough. my shooting percentage was like 90%. haha. and i got like so many baskets in from long range. i shot one 3 pointer and it went it. that's 100% for 3 pointer. haha. anyway nice to regain my superb shooting form after being dormant for so long. 45 mins of exercise today. good enough. i'm conserving energy for 3 hours of squash tomorrow.

anyway it's mid sem break now. will make it a point to blog again in the near future. maybe tomorrow. haha. oh newcastle finally won! yay!
